Traveller's Rest Pub \ Inn just outside Grasmere, A591 (NY 33660 08937). Camped in car park for couple of nights, Friday and Saturday. Asked at bar, no problem as 'out of season'. Park at top end of car park, out the way. Had drinks and food in pub, not essential though.

Another good site in the lakes, we are being spoilt ! sounds a great spot, thanks for this.

Just an update - I tried to use this for one VW camper and was told I couldn't stay there.

(Took in 14 mates who were staying in a hostel for drinks and a meal too!)

Maybe a new owner? or to many Guys? Will be a shame to loose this one.
