We seem to have picked up some unexplained decorations under our names. I presume they are the same feature that was so thoroughly bagged on another forum that it was quietly removed - or was that on this forum too.

There was something similar here a while ago (some sort of 'medals' system I think), it was dropped after some criticism.

That topic just adds to the mystery. No explanation of what each bar represents. No reason given to why some have overall longer bars than others etc etc. Unless it is totally transparent it serves no useful purpose.

Ah, I see the dreaded facebook syndrome has infected this forum. One of the quickest ways to rack up points is to have lots of friends in lots of social groups.

Now might be a good time to disable Friend Requests in your profile. Otherwise you will be inundated with random requests from people whom I assume must also cruise the streets accosting strangers with the plaintive "Will you be my friend"

Ive got three colours what's this all about? Also I am colour blind and I have to get my partner Jackie to translate for me and she thinks I'm on a naughty site how can I cope?!!!

The system is still active it has just been set now not to display results in posts.

This will be an important system when the new database is online.

Although I understand peoples reservations about this system, it is there so that those who put more into this site will get more out. That is a fair system.

Of course people will try and cheat by doing lots of easy things to build their points, however it does not work.

The people who generally are opponents to this system are those who want to take without giving.
