Dalwhinnie

Turn of the A9 at Dalwhinnie, and use car park on right hand side just passed the tourist info office (defunct?). Recycling bins there, also used by lorry drivers. Quiet and level tarred. Quarter of a mile further into Dalwhinnie on teh right are public toilets with a drinking water tap on the outside wall.

those toilets are part of the community centre & can be entered from the outside.
there is a sign on the outside wall saying
"UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES ARE CHEMICAL TOILETS TO BE EMPTIED"

Stayed here for one night on way up north..great place for a stop over..yes it is used by lorries but no bother..was about 6 when we were there..none when we got up....better than pulling into a layby on the A9 as we saw some others had.
Also the other place by the distillery looked not too bad either.
