I like to keep the van nice and shiny and after 30 years of cleaning and polishing caravans/motorhomes have finally decided on my 3 favourite cleaning products.

The first stage is to get rid of the unsightly black streaks that are the bane of motorhomers everywhere.................

Muc Off 707A Caravan Cleaner, 5 Liter: Amazon.co.uk: Car & Motorbike does a great job and is easy to apply and use.

The second stage is to bring the paintwork up to a nice shine..................

Autoglym Super Resin Polish - 1L - Latest Model: Amazon.co.uk: Car & Motorbike is perfect for this,it has a slight T cut effect and will revitalise tired and dull paintwork, again very easy to apply and user friendly.

The final stage is to protect the now nice and shiny bodywork and make it easy to erase the ubiquitous back streaks when they reappear................

Meguiar's Deep Crystal Step 3 Carnauba Wax: Amazon.co.uk: Car & Motorbike does this job perfectly.A bit more elbow grease required but it's worth it.It wont make any difference to the shiny finish but will protect the paintwork for longer and make it easy to get rid of the inevitable black streaks.

I do mine twice a year, spring and late autumn and it takes a couple of days. What does everyone else use?

I reckon that's an excellent combination of products, should keep it looking great. I use muc off after every trip, very easy to use.
For a great choice of products, with guidance see Car Care Products | Car Detailing | Car Cleaning Products

I have a black van which looks good when clean but takes a lot of work to keep it clean. Colour magic polish works well for me. Quick and simple to use and cheap as chips. Tried more expensive products but for time and effort colour magic comes out on top.

Life is really too short to spend a day meticulously shining up anything. A dollop of wash and wax in a bucket of water sloshed over with a long handled brush, then hosed down and the windows leathered is more than enough, because as soon as you've used it the blasted thing gets dirty again.

But look at what can be achieved, my 135000 mile Xantia for example IMG_1156.JPGIMG_1157.JPG

Cheers for that, Muc-Off is about the only one I ain`t tried, Fenwick`s ect were a waste of time, only thing that works for me is the Autoglym Super Resin Polish and a load of elbow grease which I`m running short of. I use Muc-Off on my Mountain Bike and it`s great, I wonder if it`s the same formula, I`ll give some of my bike stuff a try tomorrow.

WD40 its a miracle

If you want an easy black mark cleaner with no elbow grease required then try WD40 sprayed onto a cloth - it works a treat and also removes wee beasties from the bonnet - its a miracle worker - take a look at the website for other uses - http://wd40.com/files/wd40-2000.pdf

What are these products like on the graphics or have you got to be careful and not go over them.
