I live in the area. In a flat right now, but was living in my van here when I first moved back. I used to regularly park up in Caswell Bay car park for the night. You need to be out of there by 8am I think, or pay the car fee for the day. I usually park up the back of the carpark. With the doggers hahaha. You def don't want to be getting out of van after dark if you're a woman alone.
I do go for stealth vans though, don't know if it's ok with regular MH.
Oh and if you go past Knab Rock(that's knab, not knob...heehee) there's a big carpark at Bracelet Bay. I often see MHs there, but not sure of the overnight camping score.
And yes...Pennard (WestCliff) carpark is a definite no-no
Wondering if there is any update on wild sites / car parks on the Gower. We are driving through to Pembroke and thought we might try to stop for the night in this area.
can't give coordinates, theres loads of places in the middle, once you go over a cattle grid and livestock is about, just find a pull off with enough room and get settled.i was there last weekend and had no bother on 3 places
sounds good, thanks.
I visited The Mumbles last night with a view to staying on the carpark on the TomTom POI file. There seems to be 2 close by, both run by the local authority, both having signs up saying that it is an offence to use the carpark for "camping or residential purposes". This is the carpark at the end of Mumbles on Pier Road I think it was.
