Barclays - free WiFi

When in Coniston we were searching for WiFi, library was closed but does not have WiFi anyway, when I picked up Barclays free WiFi. Very simple to connect, do not have to be a Barclays customers, did not even have to input any personal data.

According to BT news releases it is available to customers in all 1,500 branches. But I was able to connect without being a customer.

Makes a nice change for one of the big banks to be giving away something for free.

I was in Keswick market place last week and scanned for open WIFIs and to my suprise I got three, Barclays, Greggs and the Tourist office. I was in TESCO today and theirs was free.

Life is getting easier :cheers:

In Ayr, I got a very strong wifi signal from Asda. I went through the rigamarole of registering with them only to find that the speed was atrocious (despite an excellent strength signal). I will not use them again but no doubt my email address will be bombarded with every boring offer they have going. :mad1:

The Tesco wifi is much better.
