Just done a whistlestop tour of Wester Ross. There are plenty of stopover places on the above route varying from small bits of old road to large viewpoint parking places and everything in between. A few have "no overnight" signs, but mostly they do not. Some have open views in one or more directions, others are secluded (and probably midgey later in the year). The main stretches of road where these can be found are between Garve & Achanalt, Poolewe & Dundonnel and Braemore & Garve (including Aultguish Inn - see separate post) but this is not to say that there aren't any on the other bits. Many vans seen parked up and even more travelling.

Just 'cruised' those roads with Streetview, and added around 15 new spots ...

Thanks :)
