Just returned from a week in north Sutherland and was able to accurately locate a few wild camping spots I knew. Here is the first, in between Bettyhill and Tongue.
Next to Skerray's ancient graveyard, a large gravelled area with super views over Torrisdale Bay.

If you follow the road and go to Skerray proper, the harbour there offers a great place for possible stopping, though there are a couple of cottages just along and locals may dissaprove, although i didnt see any no stopping signs when we stayed in Skerray Mains cottage (out harbour road and right up hill, first white cottage on right you come to). :idea:

bit close to the bus stop, dont ya think you might get troubled by the constant flow of buses?:banana:

joking apart, we stayed here last year, lovely spot, locals very friendly, oh way cant england be as friendly

Additional information here for any sea anglers that may visit this area:
From my location at the graveyard, If one heads west down the beach at low tide there are good sandy grounds for digging lugworm for bait.
