Hi,
We are off soon on an 8 week trip to France & Spain, on the way back I would love to visit the Monet exhibition at the Grand Palais in Paris. Can anyone out there recommend an overnighting spot in or near the city.

Try the CCI website's Paris page (http://www.campingcar-infos.com/Francais/rp.php) - at least one overnight parking spot is listed in the city.

The motorhome parking in the centre of Paris is not exactly wild camping but is is secure, it costs 24, or at least that was the fee last year. Handy for the centre though. It's here: 48.827643,2.343902 (Motorhome parking Paris) - Google Maps (http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=48.827643,2.343902+%28Motorhome+parking+Paris%29&sll=53.800651,-4.064941&sspn=18.356879,39.506836&ie=UTF8&ll=48.827647,2.343907&spn=0.004979,0.009645&t=h&z=17)

The Bois du Boulogne campsite is the nearest for getting in and out of the city, I did hear that campers were parking on the roads in the Bois, but I guess you run the risk of being moved on, or broken into if you leave the van unattended....

I think this is referring to Lady's of the night as many of them use vans and lay by's.;)
