Happy for us to stay in their large car park. It's very much a food driven pub, most of the tables are set up for eating, with the emphasis on fish & chips. Beer expensive, 3.40/pint for Adnams Broadside and Wells Bombadier. Free WiFi

I would expect so, this is Kent and a very popular pub.

I lived close to Dungness when we lived in Kent and it was one the locals kept away from - full of grockles during the summer.

An interesting place with a south westerly gale blowing in winter.

Thanks for that, we're heading that way this weekend, hubby has heard to beach fishing is good along that stretch...I'll make sure I pack plenty of warm clothes!

Very friendly pub/eating establishment. Better in winter as it is mainly the locals who are there and diehards like ourselves. Go there about once a month and always made very welcome.

Just got back from staying the night at dungeness after some fishing with my son, brilliant spot & saved me a few bob in campsite fees. Parked in the car parking spaces right next to the britania pub & right opposite to the wooden walkway to the beach, peaceful night but gets busy during the day at weekends with fishermen, went to have a pint at 10.00 pm & pub was closed so early evening for food & drink.

If hubby goes night fishing the seaweed glows like blackpool lights, something to do with the power station.
