A large lay-bye, about 400meters long, on the north bound side of the A146 Beccles to Norwich where the road was straightened. Well sheltered even last night with many trees still in leaf. Open fields with pheasant watching you eat break-fast! Very light traffic through the, Saturday, night. Find it at 52 13 17.2N, 1 30 18.3E.

Hi Chris... How do you make these Google map references so that I and other forum members can show the clickable link to interesting sites? I notice that tiny url is used as well. Cheers!

Hi Chris... How do you make these Google map references so that I and other forum members can show the clickable link to interesting sites? I notice that tiny url is used as well. Cheers!

Firstly use Google Maps to display the place in question.

Then you need to copy the relevant link. The way this is done varies according to which web browser you use.

For Internet Explorer - left click the 'Link' menu item at the top right corner. Then right click the highlighted paste link, and then click copy.

For Firefox - right click the 'Link' menu item, then left click the 'Copy Link Location' option.

The link is now stored in the Windows Clipboard and can be pasted into a forum response - but make sure you click the 'Insert Link' button (which looks like a globe with a chain link superimposed), then paste in the link.

Before doing this, you can make the link much shorter by going to TinyURL.com - shorten that long URL into a tiny URL (http://www.tinyurl.com), pasting the link into the 'Enter a long URL ...' box, and then clicking 'Make Tiny URL'. Finally copy and paste the TinyURl that results as outlined above.

Chris
