Does anyone know if there are any places to wild camp in the Gourock/Greenock area?

I don't know the area but as a wild camping addict can I pass on some advice you might find helps. Use Google maps street view to explore before you go. It's amazing what you can find out. On a recent trip to The Isle of Skye (before the snow!!) I 'street viewed' beside a remote sea loch where I had read there was camping space. Sure enough, there was and I knew exactly where I was going to park before I got there. Have fun.

how bout this place i sometimes fish near here car park at the visitors place should be good for you. not far from IBM factory

Hi, Yeah there's a car park just before the Gourock - Dunoon ferry terminal in Gourock or about 2 miles outside Gourock just past the garden centre there's lunderston bay picnic area with no height barriers and no signs saying u cant overnight.

Just a quick note we stayed at launderston bat last night lots of cars coming and going into the early hours and most felt the need to pip there horn while passing the motor home :sleep-040:
