Recently went to Lake District for first time, and found the car park by beach at St Bees, near Whitehaven, Cumbria...cost £2.70p no overnight restriction, used toilets and showers at the adjacent Hoseasons site, as we stayed there for a night £13, and noticed office closed at 5pm and nobody notices if you go in and use facilities they think you are staying on site...
St Bees
RSPB reserve at St Bees, lovely coastal walk (start of Wainrights coast to coast walk) 14 days to east coast on foot....lovely location!!!

I live at Egremont no one seems to bother as long as you have a ticket as parking wardens do go round the area. The toilets on the caravan park need a code also or they used to!!

Hi
Seems only fair you pay at least one night if you intend to use their hot water
