maybe not a brilliant example but is this the sort of thing you're after?
or aslightly better example is http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ELECTROLUX-CARAVAN-3-WAY-FRIDGE_W0QQitemZ120099432954QQcategoryZ108845QQssP ageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
Electrolux/Dometic are probably the most often used fridges seen in motorhomes and caravans and the 3 way will run on Gas, mains elec or 12v.

Kell ... I had noticed there are oodles of three way and one two way fridges on ebay thats why I enquired if Aaron just required a gas only one!:D

Are there any advantages in having a gas only fridge?

Hi Virgil
I must admit that I haven't come across a gas only powered fridge, I expect they exist but I dont really see a benefit to fitting one in a van as I would want to run it on 12v whilst driving.

Totally agree! We usually run the fridge on 240v in the run up to going away (if the trip is planned) so the ice box is nice and cool and then whilst setting off/driving run on 12v then whilst stationary/on site/wilding we run on gas!

A combi would be nice.

Ive looked on ebay but there are sum expensive ones, it would only be used say ten times a year for drag racing and weekends away........just want to be able to attach the hose and turn it on

Looking at the image I am not certain if it's 1, 2 or 3 way (it looks like gas only) but it wouldn't hurt to ask.
