Try the road behind the Yacht Club, just before the height barriers.

Parking on Rhyl prom at Blue Bridge end is not advised due to problems with local dregs, better at Sun Centre end but noisy traffic all night.

All car parks in area have height barriers.

Try Lay By on Rhuddlan - St Asaph Road

To Colwyn Bay;

M56, follow North Wales, A55 J22, turn right on slip, 100m turn right or left you are there.

Very popular location all along this part of the prom especially if you turn right, it's the best fishing the further you go.

At the end of the prom there's a small area that gets claimed very quickly at weekends. Lat 53.2931694444, lon=-3.69649050578

NB. if the wind is a Northerly or the sea is a bit rough the waves come over the sea wall.

In winter I've seen the spray over 30ft and they close the prom. Last yr stone walls 30ft from the sea wall were washed away, but that was a winter gale.

Couple of parks, if you walk along the river towards the town, take the first footpath up the hill and turn right there's a Co-op (early till9pm) a chippy, a fabulous butchers & a bakers, DIY shop, Pharmacy and an Aldi.

If you walk along the river, under the main road and follow signs for Fairy Glen, nice walk, not too strenuous.

Petrol stn in village, open till 11pm, sells calor also it's a small Co-op.
