We are off to Belgium,Holland & Northern France and wondered about parking in the towns & city's in the area.

One thing i nearly came unstuck with was parking in Ghent ,I parked just out of the centre in a parking layby but i had not realised how close the tram lines run to the kerbside and as i was getting out of the van a tram was behind me unable to get passed.Dont know what would have happened if the tram had come a little later and i had wandered off into the centre ,either no side in the van or towed to a compound:cry::cry:

It would have cost you at least 100 + additional increasing fine if the tram delay is longer than 10 minutes, + costs for the tow-away. Could be more than 500 alltogether.
