We went to Calke Abbey at the weekend, intending to use this layby. We checked it's position on the google earth POI and headed off....

We got toally lost and couldn't find it so ended up stopping in a layby nearby next to what we think was the cricket club / village hall. It was busyish until about 9 then it went quiet. It was open to the road but as a last resort it was perfect! The lane to the side just goes into a field.

Coordinates were 52 48 49 76 N 1 29 01 76W
