Both these sites are not in use and off main drag with plenty of room. Happy Camping.

I have used one of these when attending the beer fes at the Angel but pull onto the grassnear the new trees. The Angel is expensive for camping 15 quid a night and when something is on like the beer fess it is q'ing all night to use the showers etc. But the pub is fan bloody tastic. always good guest beers and over 100 whiskeys. The food is reasonable for the quality and quantity. Try the bacon and banana sarnies.

I have attached two google street view images that might suggest these are NOT suitable.

Unless of course local knowledge knows better ( I don't have that) and buses do not now use the sites. I hope I am wrong as I might use them later in the year

Streetview shows these places as No Entry except for buses - I'm confused ...

I was on the council when this road was built and none of us ever found out why he bus parks were put there. But they are still buses only, use or not so an awkward police person could be nasty about using them. Like I said earlier, I use the grass verge at the side of them. you are about a couple hundred yards from the pub then. The verge is wide enough for a largish motor and there is very little traffic along there at night, but wouldn't be Ok for more than one night at a time. The verges are a lot different now to what is shown on street view.

The stops were placed there towards the near completion of the new road (Dual Carriageway). A lady whose children were at school at the time kicked up such a stink as to the danger of her children waiting for the (then) service bus to Norwich from Thetford/Bury St Edmunds, to attend school, the Highways were forced on safety grounds via NCC to provide the lay-bys, neither are subject to a bus clearway order (TRO) neither are in use (last 4 years) and both are highly suitable for off piste 1 night stops.
I was deeply involved in the above in another life prior to retirement, I would not post (unless unbeknown) unsuitable stops. By the way, the bus stop flags were removed in 2007 by my workforce!
Happy Camping.
