hi all, we are in mam tor cp at the moment. does anyone know if overnighting is ok? It does say in really small writing that no camping is allowed but that is on a board not on the ticket machine. Do they bother to enforce it?

Hi As N.T. members We often stay in the national trust car park at Mam tor overnight.

However whether being a N.T. member makes any difference re overnighting - I have no idea.

If you are in a vehicle with only the tyres in contact with the road, then it is not camping, you are merely parked. People have been known to fall asleep inside parked vehicles, I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Leave nothing except any parking charge, and be off the next day.
