Doing this journey on Friday to collect new motorhome following disappointment of last week. Collecting from Rye - could stay round there and head back Saturday if nice.

Alternatively, is there anywhere quiet and out of the way on the way back up towards the M25?

At the moment Dungeness is looking appealing, but if we could get a little way back, it would be good. We love out of the way places though if possible, or a Forestry car park etc.... somewhere peaceful and away from the road for the dog.

Any suggestions welcomed. Thanks.

Dungeness is the best place - we were there last weekend. Even if the weather is awful there's a wonderful sense of peace and quiet.

The only other place I can think of is the Hemstead forest - near Benenden. You can't drive into the forest but most of the gateways are pretty deep - plenty of room for a motorhome.
