these pictures were taken on the A498 going down the valley to Bedgelert after it leaves the A4086 which goes down the Llanberis pass and not from the A470 Llandudno-Betws-y-coed road, have been almost each of my 65 years to Wales, have never stayed in the lay-bys but see no reason why not,

Think you are correct as we travelled from Porthmadog through Bedgelert and Betws-y-Coed to Llanduddo
Thanks

Nice pictures :)

There are a few small gravel laybys on the A4086 coming from Capel Curig before you reach the Pen-y-Gwryd Hotel, anybody used these before?

we have passed this place quite a few time & have stopped in the day only, although we did say it'd be an ideal wildcamp spot & in the future im sure it'll be ok here, right by the lake where there is a break in the fencing so you can get to the water ok,and you can use the grass here for a picnic (thats if the weathers any good!!) samm :)
