Right, just spoke to the landlady and 20th April is OK and they can take up to about 30 M/Hs as the car park opens out at the far end.
And even better news!. They might be able to put a band on! No promises, but that's what she said. But we must keep her informed about numbers as it all depends on that.
I have NOT booked, just keeping all informed.

Confirmed, No parking charge.

I think in the other thread we had about 5 confirmed coming. probably if a new thread is started it would go all over the place again. Quite normal on here:wacko:
We have to be careful we don't have too many threads and people coming or asking about the meet might get missed.

Jen, how about asking Phil to end the poll sooner. Maybe a few days time. What do you think as your poll?

I totally agree, I just thought that the existing close of poll day which is Jan 23rd was a little too long considering we want some sort of date agreed so that the meet could be arranged.

Just let me know when a venue is agreed and if it is the navigation at Buxworth, I will be happy to let them know. Someone else can if they like! The phone number is 01663 732072 and the landlady is called Jan.
Jan has confirmed that the weekend starting 20th April is available and no parking fee will be applicable and depending on numbers, she said that she would see if she could provide a Band.
The agreed date is a little late for me as I hope to have my house up for sale by Easter and I might not be able to attend if I have viewings and obviously I could not afford to miss a prospective buyer in the present market conditions. Bearing in mind that I might be a no show, it might be better for some other member to contact the pub as Jan asked if we could keep in contact about numbers etc. A trusting friendly relationship could be built up over the coming weeks. Anyway, up to you Guys / Guyess's, I am quite happy to make the phone call to confirm the date.
Happy April 20th Meet:have fun::fun::have fun:

Had to do an eeny, meeny, miney, mo thingy to decide which pub as it really doesn't matter to us and Overseal won.

We intend to come along but I lead a ceilidh band and we get almost all our bookings for Saturdays so I can only make a 'will come if we can' type of promise. Is that OK?

Make it Jan 23, Overseal is gaining by the hour, LOL ! Some people don't log in for weeks.

Every day that you leave it, the more chance of some other lot taking the space.
Two bl**dy weeks is a long time to make such a simple decision. The late comers will just have to come where the meet has been decided. Simple.

To be quite honest, I think that the venue should be decided by the members that have said, or do say, that they will come.

Well I would have voted but it says the poll is now closed.

I would have chosen Buxworth but as my working week is friday, saturday, and sunday, I could not have attended anyway.

Don't suppose there's any chance of a mid-week meet anywhere??
