Howdy,

I used the work PC to download the POI's succesfully onto Google Earth. I now need them on my home Mac, but can't find the POI downloads on the forum! I am a full member, despite the header on the site inviting me to become one.

Any ideas please?

Cheers.

Ian

Press the "HOME" button at top of page.

Look to the right of the page when it has refreshed, there is a square called "Site Navigation" its in that square

I don't understand why you are getting an Adobe error - this has nothing to do with Google Earth ...

Have you downloaded and installed Google Earth?

If so, the easiest way to open the Google Earth KML file (in the Google Earth folder) is by double clicking on it using Windows Explorer.

Please let me know how you get on.

Chris

Sounds like the file extension has been associated with your adobe software. If you have google earth installed then right click the file. At the top of the right click menu it will tell you the programs that can open it with. Let us know if g/e isn't listed or wont work

geomcloughlin, if you're still having problems then let us know to help.

I am sure YorkCov won't mind me borrowing his laptop to help you fix this fault ;)

You cannot open the Wild Camp.ov2 file on your PC.

It must be downloaded to the TomTom ...

Please give that a try.

I guess that answer would be in two stages.

1. Can you get Google Earth on your Iphone

1a Apple Store for G/E (http://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/google-earth/id293622097?mt=8)

2. If you have got it on, installed and working OK then have you tried adding the (KML?) file to the relevant directory?

2a Google Search (http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=google+earth+kml+on+iphone)

Of course, not having an iphone means I can only quote the above information without doing any research whatsoever ;) :D

Hi Chris

I now get this message when I try to send file to TomTom:

The zipped file contains files that cannot be used with your device. You must remove the incompatible files then try again.
