Not a full member, yet :(, so not sure if it's already in the database?
B9176 A small detour from the A9 north of Inverness between the Firths of Cromarty and Dornoch.
Remote-ish with no nearby buildings. Quite popular so possibly already well known, certainly an obvious spot when passing.
I live locally and pass by often.
Very good two lane road, better than most Highland A-class roads.
Take care in winter as the road is high-ish and exposed in places, this spot is quite sheltered.
Northbound views over Dornoch Firth are spectacular.

:welcome:To anybody unfamiliar with Scotland and especially the Highlands and Islands......:idea-007:
Rough camping is seldom frowned upon so long as you look very temporary, are not causing any obstruction, you do no (zero, nill, nada) damage and above all leave no rubbish. Just the usual rules, leave it as you found it or even better. Sad that so many people are unable to follow it.

TTFN :have fun:

Thanks for the suggestion - this place is already in the POI Downloads, unfortunately ...

However, it's always good to have a further recommendation :)

Chris
