Make sure it's not grouse shooting season though.
Also don't let dogs off the lead.

Yes, that's a good point, Teffy. It needs to be considered.

We stayed at the other POI on Dallow moor last night. Windy but otherwise good and that one is bigger, about a 10 van site. It's not the season but the moor was closed for conservation purposes, also no dogs at the moment. In season, it may be busy but it would still be a possible overnighter if you arrived late afternoon/early evening after the shooting died down.

(shooting season is 12 August to 10th December)

Ah is it? My POI is only last October vintage. I have tried to downoad a more recent one but it wouldn't let me. I'll have another go!
