hi novice1968, these are spots for mountain biking, the gisburn forest trails have trails graded from blue to black so will cater for all riders including children, so you can expect forest fire roads for a nice steady ride or if you are like me and enjoy the thrill of riding downhill there are jumps tabletops doubles and dropoffs with some nice single track.

the lee quarry trails at bacup are red and black routes really and not much for family riding, its a quarry site with a couple of pump tracks some doubles and fast flowing single track, its also connected to another quarry for the xc riders out there, some of the trails here can be quite rocky and technical.
if you need any more info just give me a shout.

where down south do you want to ride and what kind of riding?
