Minor road from the A9 (tourist route via Embo) runs along the south west shore of Loch Fleet. There are numerous passing places and lay-bys. There was very little traffic when I stopped there recently, but it was outside the school holidays. Although there was a lay- by where you could get back off the side of the road at the beginning of the road near the A9, we stopped further along in a lay-by where we could watch the seals on a sand bank in the Loch at low tide. Fantastic.

Don't know if this spot is already marked as I can't download the POIs on any apple devices and my windows laptop is poorly.

Is this the spot you have in mind?

Yes, we stayed here last year on our way up to "the top." A great place.

I stayed in the car park on the A9 at Loch Fleet last month, a recommended spot
