I'm sure I'm not the only one with dark corners in cupboards, but yesterday I found a cheap and effective solution. Poundland are selling push to turn on LED lights at 2 for a pound with a self adhesive pad to fix them. They are fairly small, but very effective. You can find them in the tool section.

At that price you could make a whole starry sky, couldn't you? Shame we don't have one of those shops.

Have also seen them at Asda especially the Asda Living stores where they sell the household lines.

I've used the Poundland lights. The ****ing things fall off as soon as you either drive off or the temperature goes above 10 degrees C. The light output is great; just don't expect too much of them

Hi Yes these stick on lamps are just great. We use one in toilet for in the night to save the Lesure battery and one in the back of a deep cupboard.

At 2 for a pound I might get some, might add some other adhesive if it doesn't work that well

Don't forget to buy batteries at the same time, they take 3 AAAs each.

I've butchered a couple to fit my side windows and joined two with gaffer tape to fit the windscreen to make a set of internal screens, using them back to front, so the silver surface is on the inside to reflect heat back into the vehicle.

Poundland and other discount shops often sell rechargeable batteries, it's well worth investing in a charger and rechargeables. I only use battery LEDs in my van, I have the same 2 hexagonal lights, but also a couple of sets of 1 battery fairy lights, which when stretched out along a shelf give a surprising amount of light. I have a stock of about 20 - 30 rechargeable batteries so that I have always got some spares in the van and when I'm home I have a mass recharging session. They don't last as long as good Duracell batteries but if you've plenty of spares ready charged that doesn't matter.

I have a Uniross Sprint Battery Charger which recharges NiMH AA and AAA batteries in about 15 mins, which both a 240v plug and a 12v plug. I've had it for years and it's been well used and well worth every penny. From memory, I think I got it in Halfords sale, for about a tenner but it was at least 5 years ago, probably more, there's probably a more compact version available now. I have recharged batteries off the leisure battery when parked up but I think the charger is quite a drain so I try to recharge them whilst driving or engine running.

My charger is almost the same as this except it recharges 4 AA or AAA at a time Uniross Sprint-15 NiMh 15-minute 2xAA/AAA Battery Charger EU 2-pin UK 3-pin | eBay (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Uniross-Sprint-15-NiMh-15-minute-2xAA-AAA-Battery-Charger-EU-2-pin-UK-3-pin-/250981387932?pt=UK_TravelTickets_Accessories_RL&var=&hash=item3a6fa80e9c#ht_1755wt_1186)

I went back today to get some more lights and batteries, big mistake as I came out with enough rice, smoked sausage, cereal bars etc. to fill another cupboard...
