Do mountains really need rescuing ?

They are big enough to fend for themselves surely.

I feel I might be a bit too old at nearly 65, but I do have many years experience in mountain rescue, having been a member of Buxton, then Kinder teams and I was a search dog handler. Any good?

Problem is, I live in Derbyshire which is rather a long way to travel for a call-ou!:fun:

Funny you should mention that. I'm a member of the Western Desert canoe racing club of Egypt. Here's a picture taken by SWMBO of me (and my dog) taking part in an event in 2004.

First training session in progress. Progress slow due the barmaid being rushed off her feet.
