Got back 5 days ago after a perfect 1st camper trip.

Picked up the van in Glasgow and headed for here (http://www.achindarrochtp.co.uk/), great choice, owners were campers for 20 years so know our needs, best toilets/showers we saw.

Next morning off to Mallaig, and a bonus was the steam train was encountered where the line is close to the road, great excitement!
We had a scout about for a wild site and picked one beside Loch Morar.
Off to Skye in the morning from Mallaig, and headed for Glen Brittle camp site where they asked us to go easy on water as they'd had no rain for months!
Other campsites visited were Kinloch, on Loch Dunvegan, Staffin, with a few more wild camps in between.

We are now hunting for our own van, it was that good a trip.

Any suggestions for off site camping in Skye? We're heading there in the next couple of weeks (and are also first timers pretty much)
Cheers

looks like you had a good time! was this recent as the weather we have had in Yorkshire has been bad? Hope you find your own van soon.
