Hi, can anyone advise as easy first night suitable for a late night arrival?

We’re on the slow boat to Lochboisdale next Sunday night (6hrs 40!!!), due in at 22:20, and don’t want to spend too much time cruising round looking for somewhere, disturbing the locals on a Sunday night etc...

We’re in a basic VW, so we’re small, but can’t just roll up and close the curtains.

Thanks, Harry and Jan.

further info on this location is that there is a toilet waste point ( presumably for boats ? ) and fresh water available too. This is at the side between the public toilets and the Tourist info. We didn't stop here but did empty the toilet and fill up with water in 2011.

Thanks, it couldn't be much easier. Looking at the size of the ferry queuing lanes we're probably not going to face much competition from other happy campers either (I hope).

This is also for the use of motorhomes...if you go into the TIO you can get a leaflet espcially for motorhomes listing dump points and public toilets...so have water taps as well. The hebrides are more motorhome friendly that any other in the UK.

Hi
I know its a bit late for this camper but the toilets at the ferry slip has water fill up and a shower big enough for 2 peeps I don't know co-ordinates but if you drive away from ferry slip and go right up the road till you meet the main road then turn left and then first right (if you come to far you see co-op)
go on till next junction turn right again keep going to the end you will come to the machar enough parking for hundreds of vans ..We wild camped with our tent here for about 4 days last year, only the cemetery at the very end of road and a loch for fishing (permit at post office) oh nearly forgot some remains of iron age round houses there as well...
