View Full Version : A little poem for today. The Sat Nav?

Here I am, Bored again. Mind running riot waiting to go wilding tonight.
So this is what I've come up with. Pin back your lug holes.

I have a little Satnav
It sits there in my car
A Satnav is a driver's friend
It tells you where you are

I have a little Satnav
I've had it all my life
It does more than the normal one
My Satnav is my wife

It gives me full instructions
On exactly how to drive
"It's thirty miles an hour" it says
"And you're doing thirty five"

It tells me when to stop and start
And when to use the brake
And tells me that it's never ever
Safe to overtake

It tells me when a light is red
And when it goes to green
It seems to know instinctively
Just when to intervene

It lists the vehicles just in front
It lists those to the rear
And taking this into account
It specifies my gear

I'm sure no other driver
Has so helpful a device
For when we leave and lock the car
It still gives its advice

It fills me up with counselling
Each journey's pretty fraught
So why don't I exchange it
And get a quieter sort?

See, it cleans the house and motorhome.
Makes sure I'm properly fed
It washes all my shirts and things
And - keeps me warm in bed!

Somethings are strange to master
Say's I being so bold
This way I just lay backwards.
And just do as I'm told!

It's not Iv'e changed my mind
Or been a weaker man.
But M/home is getting old,
May need to change the van.

I am the man in our house
Don't need a song and dance
What I say goes, I hear you say,
I just won't take a chance.

So off down to the dealers
I'm going on me own.
I'll make my mind up there and then'
Don't even have to phone.

Some say I am a hero,
full of mirth and wit.
We might just go together'
Perhaps I'm full of ....

Could do with a bit of help with the last bit Lads.

Ahhhh. Bet you thought I was going to knock them at the end?

(Well there's always next time)
