Excellent wild site. No hassle. Right next to the beach.

Went there a couple of days ago, not been for about twelve months, the dreaded : No Camping, Overnighting etc: signs have gone up.

Spoke to the only other motorhomer there and he said he had been staying there without any problems, anyone else seen the signs? do we risk it?

Have to say I might have chanced it but when I got out of the van you could cut the air with a knife, never seen the flies so bad!!!
That was the decider for my wife, we left.

Does anyone know of any similar wild spots in Kent? We live just outside Margate so anywhere in this area would be good.

Thanks for the info - there are two wild camping spots in the database. Are they both affected?

OR Leysdown-on-Sea 1 & 2

Must say I don't know of the other location so can't say if it is affected.

Which one has the notices?

Sorry for the delay in replying, this is the spot that is affected http://tinyurl.com/699h8va.

I have cycled past the other location a few times but don't recall seeing any vans there, as to the signs being there I don't know, I did wonder about the possibility of parking further along this road, on the way to Shellness, cars obviously park here, it does get very dusty in dry weather so perhaps not the best of places.
