[/B]Hi All.
Can anyone give me any information on wild camping in the Loch Affric area?. I have long supported the restoration of the forest in that area and now I have a motor home again I would love to pay the area a visit for perhaps a couple of weeks or so.

I would be travelling up from Lancashire.

Thanks in anticipation.
Gerry.

When we went 10 years ago there were 'No Overnight Camping' signs at the end of the road but we didn't test it out.

Haven't had any problems...but the magic "S" prefix may help

Hi,

maybe I'm a little late, but:

We have been wild camping in the Loch Affric area on our 2006 summer tour:

First opportunity, if your outfit is not too long, is the Dog Falls car park. Quiet at night, no ban, dust bins and public conveniences available.

The nicest place would be the Affric Lodge car park at the end of the public road, which is the only one having No Overnight Parking signs. But between Dog Falls and Affric Lodge there are 3-4 more good places. The last one, just before Affric Lodge, is a huge, level area which looks like a deserted quarry or sth. Large enough even for US RVs, if they can make it there. There we faced a severe midge attack...

Best Regards,
Gerhard
