Have just downloaded the latest version of POI onto Google Earth and having a look at some of my local locations...

I am very dubious as to this one 54.445802,-2.385151 - Google Maps (http://tinyurl.com/ce9pszk) - it is a fast road, and a short cut between the A66 and M6 so can get very busy particularly at peak times of the day and over Bank Hols etc, and cars fly past. There is no banking separating the layby from the road. I would only use it for a daytime brew / snooze stop, not for overnighting.

I agree WVW you have to be sensible and consider where you overnight. A tired driver can easily wander across a road. I'd never use a layby that wasn't some distance back and without a seperation area from the road such as fence or trees.

Helpful observation - thanks ...

I've removed it from the POIs - this was added a little while ago before I drew up the POI criteria posted in the submissions forum.
