Want to go and see the Severn bore this year. Has anyone been to see it and if so whats the best vantage point?:mad1:

Kangooroo knows all about this. She's even taken some film of it which was used by the BBC.

Only if you want to get wet!

There's an excellent elevated vantage point from Newnham-on-Severn's churchyard. I generally start at Newnham by the car park then move on to the Severn Bore Inn at Minsterworth to catch it again an hour later.

Yes I have been to see it, as I was a boarding school not far away.

Unfortunately that was 50 years ago, however this link offers tips.
