But it pours!
Things started off so well today, I woke up.
10 am blood test. Go to start the car and nuffink, dead as a Dodo. Someone had left the ignition on.

Right, grandkids come to visit ... Grand dad, Mille has a sore foot. Bruddy grass seeds!! So it's off to the vet's. A small op needed (yeah For big bucks) Pick her up at five.

Great birfdy so far lol I ain't even managed a pint yet :D

I bet your day hasn't been so disastrous.

How much do you want to bet?

Well my day started off with chest pains and difficulty breathing.
Developed into a blood pressure of 150/105 and an erratic heart beat.
Continued with been poke and prodded by a stream of medical professionals whilst wired to an ECG.
Was enhanced with vomiting, diarrhea and cold sweats.
The conclusion is me in bed when I should be at the Hampshire campfest.

But at least I made Pete feel better about his day! :)

Well my ticker appears fine and after the "episode" everything has returned to normal, accept for my toilet issues.
All test are OK and I do not have high cholesterol, etc , etc ,etc.

I have been told to take it easy and avoid stress for a few days and call 999 if it reoccurs so they can get me on an ECG faster to see what the problem is.

Make the most of it mate, while you can. We men suffer without a word and very little sympathy. Proper stoics we be.
Take your time
Get well slowly

Thanks for the best wishes..

I managed bed rest until 11am, but I was getting stressed over the mounting support tickets. Tes did some of them for me but eventually I decided to come into work. Tes is not happy, but I have too much to do..

I thought you must be poorly Phil, even your username has looked a bit paler than usual this week!

All those symptoms could be due to something as simple as mild food-poisoning, or even severe indigestion. Did you eat anything a little dodgy when you were in Wales? Seafood, especially shellfish is well known for causing problems. (or maybe you're just allergic to Welsh people?? :))

It can feel very scary whatever the problem may be, so take it easy for a while... and don't get stressed, I'm sure folks will understand if some tickets don't get dealt with in the circumstances.

I was poorly Sat night, thought it was the fish n chips i had in York but since learned there is a bug going round, think Phil has it the worst tho, its a man thing

Hope your feeling well soon Phil, there's nothing worse than lying in bed all day, especially when you know the work is piling up, i think that can be more stressful take it easy tho

hi Wistonion,

Having trawled many London cockle bars after large amounts of lager I believe first you should not go to Wales as Londoner's can get caught out with the odd poor shell fish, unlike the well known Kebab of Camden town, but I went to Barry Island in the 1970's with no problem apart from the gate staff of Butllin's trying to kill one another with a chain,
but I say live and let live. But I digress, I only what to keep Phill fit for purpose. We have movements from both ends
one needs to stop fluid loss from one end or other to conserve fluids.

Regards Dr Snowbirds.

How are you today, young man?
Too many doctors just use standard medicines nowadays, I prefer to take the organic approach. Take one tablespoonful of petroleum jelly, mix in a few shredded thistle leaves and one dessertspoonful of chilli powder, then mash thoroughly with a fork. That should help with the rear end suffering very effectively.
