From December, 'The Dandy' will cease publication.

It began in 1937 and sold 2 Million copies a week in its heyday.

RIP Desperate Dan.

Not that tragic...

According to this reference The Dandy to become online brand from December - Press Gazette (http://www.pressgazette.co.uk/story.asp?sectioncode=1&storycode=49862&c=1) and Wikipedia, it says the adventures will continue online. Everyone is moving to cyberspace nowadays!

The annual will continue to be published in the real world.

We used to love the Dandy when we were kids.
We used to have the Beano, Dandy and my sisters had the Bunty with all those cut out things on the back.
The world is falling apart.

We had Beano, Dandy, Sparky, TV 21, and Bunty. (I always did wonder about my younger brother)

Viz magazine is the one I'd really miss Viz Comic online (http://www.viz.co.uk/index.html)

Even that's got a good online presence now.
