Forego the shower and stay at the summit. I can't think of a better place to wild camp :)

Passed it a couple of years ago.

It's a pity you need the shower as there is a nice little spot further round the Bay.

It looks a pretty good site and it is in a picturesque place.

Why not buy yourself a cheap 12v shower? Just drop the pump into a bucket of warm water and you don't need a campsite!

You can use it outside of your camper, or with a large builders bucket and a shower curtain you can shower inside your van, wherever you are.

Here's an example.... 12V electric portable car camping Hiking Travel outdoor Shower Kit with hook | eBay (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/12V-electric-portable-car-camping-Hiking-Travel-outdoor-Shower-Kit-with-hook-/350588139946?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item51a0ae79aa#ht_573wt_1037)

In most places around the country you can usually find a sports centre or swimming baths in the nearest large-ish town where you can get a shower. :)

I didn`t know there was a Camping and Caravanning Club ( C&CC ) site at Dunnet Head ?

There is a Caravan Club ( CC ) site at Dunnet Bay but this is a good few miles from there.

As for the latter it is a very good standard Caravan Club site, the shower block is a little
small ( only 3 showers i think ) but it has not long since been refurbished and is excellent.

The wardens are part-time ( 09.00 till 11.00 and 16.00 till 18.00 ) so if you turn up
outside these times there are instructions on the reception door, basically you pitch
up and call at the office when open

Hope this helps.

Regards.

Graham.

I expect that your information will be right, rather than mine. My knowledge of Club sites is very limited (even CS and CL sites). ;)

I use a smaller one of these for showering the dogs when camping :)
Works a treat!
