Going to the Nottingham Beer festival in October, which is at the castle. Anybody know of anywhere to stay within staggering distance of the venue.

Thanks Morgan,
I have those websites but I was hoping to get somewhere in walking distance of the castle.
3 1/2 mile is fine on most days but not after sampling all their real ales. :danger:

I have stayed here 52.946783,-1.164091 it is a retail park. If you look around to find no notices and park there you should be OK. You only have to walk up to the little canal bridge and cross over and head toward the castle it's not far.

Can be noisey sometime as the local boy racers hang out round there, I know as used to be one back in the day. There is the cattle market, and think of some more places when I have some time.

I'd love to get to this as my step son lives in Nottingham but I'll have to see what pans out. I'm probably coming over there at the end of Oct unfortunately.

You could try the National water Sports centre campsite. About 1.5 miles from the city centre. There is also a bus terminus about 400 yards away. The number 11 takes you into the city and runs every 12 minutes until quite late. I go there for the Forest matches with my brother in law so stop there so we can have a few bevvies on the saturday night.
