Hey chub i looked at them other week when looking for bits and bobs and thought they only sold caravan's as a whole thing i.e you couldn't buy just one bit from a scrapped van.I will give them a bell later and see what they say.

Cheers

I'm fairly certain I have one in the workshop someplace, will require servicing I should think as been stood for at least 5 years will look it out today and post picture tomorrow no idea what postage would be but you can always collect. Also have cooker, oven, fridge all in various degrees off unatractiveness, make an offer when you see it. hee hee.

If you go for that Will, I could probably pick it up for you on my way back from Cornwall next weekend.

Tried Will's excellent homebrew, Just a wee nightcap you understand Haydn, to help me sleep!

I was disappointed Will could'nt make the Wales meet as we had the outdoor Wok going and lots of other things going on.
Home made wow! cider.
He told us he had some homebrew ready and then he couldn't make it . Gutting.

So I hope we can meet soon.

I've heard all about his van from Phil so can't wait to see it.

sorry for the delay, I forgot to take the camera with me.
The water heater is made by "Main" and model is a "Minor" Picture shows the manufacturers lable on the inside of the front case. Surface rust left uncleaned so you can see it.

The inside looks in good order only surface rust on the burner. No screws for the case am guessing it screwed to brackets screwed to the wall but not present.

both gas and water taps are free turning. So all in all quite a viable heater. Has to make 30 or I may as well keep it for my one day self build.

no problem though you can remove the spout, leave the water tap open and connect into the rest of your hot water system. You are obviously looking for something better and don't blame you. good luck with the build.

It is not only best to have the flue kit it is essential if you are running more than one tap from it. to be honest allthough they highly effective and good value they are a bit old hat now, much prefer the whale or truma boilers which are sealed to the van exterior, It also might be worth looking for a Henry these are basicly a copy of the carver cascades.
