We stayed the night in the car park overlooking the South Stack lighthouse on Holy Island.

If you follow the signposts to South Stack but go past the gated car park on the left by the cafe(where you buy tickets to get in the lighthouse) after about 300 yds, just over the brow of the hill, there's a small car park on the right.

It's fairly flat, has magnificent views (from the top of the nearby mound you can see Snowdon on a clear day, which it was when we were there) and was quiet after the dogwalkers left at sunset.

Could be a bit bleak if the weather turned but I always think that's the sign of a good wildcamping spot.

Just had a look on Fugawi for location as we are touring Wales and Anglesey in September... or sooner if we can.

My question is:- It seems to be at the end of some very small/minor roads, is it possible without loosing the odd mirror to get there in a 20ft coachbuilt please as I'm 12" wider than a panel van conversion.

Thanks!

It is a narrow road in places, but you'll have no problem with a coachbuilt. When I was last there a 28ft Hymer was in the car park also.
