Hi, this is my first post on here, I've been living and wilding for 3 relatively hassle free months in my 92 Hymer 544, then just as we hit a cold snap my truma sl3002 heater develops a fault. Until now the heater has been great and totally controllable, now it is burning fiercely and the thermostat dial on the top is acting purely as an on/off switch and the casing is getting very hot Has anyone any ideas for an easy fix? I've scoured the net for parts but they seem like hens teeth.
Thanks

I had this problem in September found my burner kaput so replaced it and its been fine since. Changed the burner unit including thermo coupling and igniter 52. ish. fitted it myself . found it on ebay, fetched it from caravan solutions at Creswell

Thanks for the advice. I've looked on ebay and can't make out if I need the burner or the CARVER GAS HEATER VALVE 30050-58000 which seems to have the thermostat probe attached. Also is it best to attack it from above or below.

Says it fits truma/carver, but I may have got it wrong, as I say all advice gratefully received.
