Having had difficulty finding water in Ireland I asked a Irish campervaner if he knew of water in the town He quoted where there is a cemetery there is water, we found it a very useful tip.

We found most garages had a tap too.

We have found that churches with graveyards nearly always have an outside tap available..and their car parks are often ok to use too.

Thanks :)

One in particular is Upwey, near Dorchester, 50.660697,-2.47437 already added to POI (but not under water section) Will sort through my diary and find any others.

Another POI with water is at end of Selsea Avenue on Herne Bay seafront, I think the co-ordinates are 51.21'18.26"N, 1.06'41.57"E but not good at identifying these so could you check? there is a tap behind the beach huts and no problem parking all along this part of the seafront.

Hello,

The first one, where is the tap located, on the pub or separate in the car park ?

The second, is this it ? 51.371759,1.111258 - Google Maps (http://goo.gl/maps/IHfwh) would a hose reach to the road ? or would a container be needed ? to get the grid ref, al you do is right click on Google maps, select WHATS HERE and a box comes up with the info required. Then copy and pate.

Thanks

James

Hi James, The first is on the side of the church...no pub I am afraid! Second, I think a hose might reach but it would have to be fairly long as the beach huts are on the beach below the road level. Should be possible though. Thats the right place, the tap is down the steps on the right. I was using google earth rather than google maps, thanks for showing me!
