I've come across this note on a recent forum from UK Campsite - anyone have any further info?

Not sure if this has been posted before but the free motorway between Bordeaux and Biarritz (formally the N10) is now a toll road. It has been taken over by Vinci and extended to 2x3 lanes so they are charging tolls.

Currently they are not charging the full price as the work is not completed. When overtaking lorries be aware of some very tight lanes where they have squeezed two lanes together.

that's about it , the section they are still working on will be at half price until finished , so for a car you could reckon on 10 for the moment for the bordeaux to spain toll , maybe 15 for a class 2 motorhome , will go up by 3.60 for a car in the autumn , so getting close to 20 for a motorhome for the lot

this was a good section of road and nice easy driving, trust the frogs to cock it up, the coast road is a bit slow and a lot of rounabouts at the bottom end, last time we were down there they were putting up the gantries ready for the tolls, will now look for a different route, dont believe in giving the frogs money for using there roads, they get enough when we buy fuel.

We went the coast road in March returning from Spain. We were aware of all of the road works going on and as we had plenty of time, so decided to go up the coast from Cap Bretton Aire. It is a very much slower road and wanders around a lot. If you are in a hurry to get to Spain I would say bite the bullet and pay. If not add a further day to your travel plans.
