Hi. I'm off to France in 5 weeks with the family, travelling down the east side, I fancy a stop at Lake Annecy, has anyone stopped there, are there any Aires nearby, I've been told the village of Talloires is worth a visit, any info would be appreciated, Tanya.

Hi, Have a look around Lac de Bourget- not that far away but much more peaceful and I thik worth a trip- theres an aire next to the campsite but the site is very relaxed, can swim in the lake and not much more than the aire - also got lovely big trees you can lie under - lovely!

Hi yes there is, and its lovely there. If you follow signs to Le Lac, and you are near the beach/town end, (there's an old bit and modern bit ) drive anti clockwise around the lake and its on the right hand side opposite the yacht club or near it anyway. Somewhere near macdonalds, Sorry my directions aren't a bit more technical!! I'm too busy enjoying it all to write down specifics. A Beautiful place, you'll love it. Also if you drive the other way, on the left of the lake there is motorhome point behind some houses. So you have the lake on your right, keep going to the mini roundabout, as you go round and back on yourself you'll see a small motorhome sign, and its along that road on the left. (Runs parallel to main road, sort of haha) Might be a euro or two, can't remember for sure. (Sorry guys-- woman directions)
