Wouldn't have thought so and i don't think it will be long before they start enforcing the restrictions.

We stayed on princess way last weekend without trouble. The thing thats going to spoil it is the caravans that have been there for months

Not that i can remember. There was a self build iveco parked there and i got the impression he was staying for a while when chatting to the owner.

That's pretty clever really, by stopping overnight parking they have also stopped camping & effectively overnight fishing too. The sign conforms to national regulations so it IS enforceable & it doesn't mention campers or motorhomes, cooking or sleeping. The only issue is getting night shift wardens to police it, cos it ain't the responsibility of the police any more.

Somebody has been doing their homework & I would guess that this is what will happen in North Yorkshire. Ohh well, [sigh]

Hi Tommy,

There was a decent tide this morning and the waves were coming over the wall every now and then.

Plenty there fishing as well this morning. Have you tried further up the prom on North Promenade ?

Keep going north up Princes Way then South Promenade then North Promenade through the Cul-De-Sac sign as far as you can and you`ll come to the
end of the road.

There`s more people fish up there than down on Princes Way.

Hi grumpyengraver.
The fishing was pretty slow, on the night tide i caught a couple of pin whiting and a dog fish and only 1 pin whiting in the morning but it was better than a blank.

Wooie1958, yeah ive fished that area a bit. From redbank rd bispham all the way up to fleetwood. I prefer the fishing up at rossal and there is a carpark up there to wild on heres the gps 53.900877,-3.047942.
Ive not stayed myself but it seems quiet enough when ive been there fishing through the night.

Was in touch with council a few months back, you can park as long as you want at the tram stop end of Princes Way, but only enough space for about 4 or 5 vans. If we can't get a space there we park near the hospital, (very quiet), we're night owls, so if you're still up at 2am you can then go back to Princes Way, and park until 10pm.:) The guy from the council said they had done it due to complains from local homeowners losing their sea view, I pointed out there was no houses overlooking that stretch, and that there was always plenty of spaces, he said they would look into it, but obviously they still haven't changed their minds.
