herrro...tis me again, with another trivial (not to me!!) question!!!
i have a 110a/h leisure battery. if it were fully charged, how long could i run a double electric blanket through an inverter??
thanks, yet again, for giving me the time of day!!!

90w / 12v = 7.5 amps 110 amp battery so only 55amps available or battery will die so 55 / 7.5 = 7 and a bit hours. You have a loss in the inverter, 90w is for a Tesco double blanket but it is not going to be on all the time due to the thermostat,

One of the first things to be put in our new MH was a hot water bottle.

I remember some years ago sitting round a barbecue with other campers, and one friend asking how come I wasn't frozen stiff like they were. I then showed her the hot water bottle stuffed up my jumper! Never travel without one - great for muscular pains, tummy aches, general warmth and comfort. Oldfashioned, but still good.

We carry two hot water bottles plus a little furry hot water bottle aka the dog, it's always toasty :)

You don't really need it on all night - just put it on for half an hour before you go to bed so it's nice and warm when you get in. The battery will handle that no problem.

I have two small hot water bottles. :D

We have a 12v one that draws 5 amps. Usually only use it to warm the bed and then a short while in bed so no problems with battery

Laying next to my Mrs is like laying at the side of a radiator, she gives off soooo much heat i have to take the duvet off me.!
If i could sell her body heat to the national grid, i'd rake in a small fortune.!

swmbo puts hers on before she goes to bed then switches it off. If its cold then a couple of pairs of socks. Hot water bottle. Night dress & Jumpers  I have tried explaining about other ways of keeping warm but she says it doesn't last long enough ...
