Hello Everyone,

Can anyone tell me the locations for filling up Glaslow Bottles of LPG gas in Spain, Andalucia please??

Im currently in Gaucin, Andalucia and found no luck this afternoon with any petrol stations stocking LPG. I drove to Soto Grande and up to Estapona and visited & talked to 6 Petrol stations … all of them saying.. "You're going to find it hard to get LPG in Spain"!!

I find this statement hard to believe as this is the jumping point to Morocco and l know people fill up before they leave… So can anyone help me please???

Im on ZERO gas, so need to fill up asap.

Many thanks,
Anthea

Let Google be your friend. I tried the question 'lpg stations in spain' and it came up with dozens of pages either listing or mapping them on THIS PAGE (https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=lpg+stations+in+spain&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a&gws_rd=cr&ei=StJyUsPlPO_40gWmwIHABA) - the first link of which gives this list HERE (http://www.mylpg.eu/stations/spain/list).

My broadband connection is extremely slow at the moment as I'm having problems, otherwise I could have checked out some of the maps - pages takes minutes to load - so you'll have to find one which suits you by yourself, I'm afraid.

Hope this helps.

lpg is dearer than spanish bottles . and in morocco its far easier to get a moroccan bottle . they are about 4 quid to exchange . about 100 dirham deposit . gas low etc is useless in spain and maroc .

What a good solution you have- l never thought of Google, as l found that what they've told me in the past didn't correspond with reality.. so l didn't even think of using them..

But l'll go to the link you pasted now.. because the wifi here is working well.. finally!!

Hello Ian81,

Many thanks for sending this link through… its an excellent one with most of the petrol stations being 'confirmed' in recent months. I was so impressed with the database, that l subscribed to the site ( so would get any updates).

Thank you for going to the trouble of finding it. It seems there are lots more LPG petrol stations in Spain than even the Spanish know about!!

best wishes,
Anthea

I'll certainly keep this i mind once l get to Morocco re: gas bottles…. However the problem l've found in Spain ( or should l say Andalucia) is that the threads are completely different to my Glaslow connections, so its cheaper and easier to find an LPG outlet than go through the hassle of finding someone who knows what their talking about, regarding the fittings.

(Also my motorhome, does't have any UK bottles for me to get filled.. l only carry the Glaslow ones.)

I did however see the LPG station listed on the LPG spain website, so when l'm up there l'll go pass it to double check that it still operates!

sincerest thanks for the info,
Anthea

hi, visit a good ferreteria ,they usually have all the adaptors to fit what ever . look at carboots etc for a bottle . if staying awhile in spain . it would be far easier and cheaper than driving around to fill up.
in portugal they fill spanish bottles or sometimes repsol there will exchange spanish etc .

Hi, if you go onto the REPSOL and CEPSA web sites they used to have a list of all their LPG stations, these are the spanish petrol companeis.

Hope this is of some help.

Happy and safe travels Ken:drive::banana::banana:

Hi,

Try to check www.lpgstations.com (http://www.LPGstations.com) their LPG station list seems to be biggest in the world. And site is quite nice, you can check stations right one the map (not list based like the most of the sites)There are autogas stations in Spain, UK, France and the rest of europe.
Plus they have something like journey planner tool, which gives you ability to build a route which showcase LPG stations near by.

Found it getting better each year, filled up today in Cartagena at the one just after you get off the motorway. Bit of a pain getting to ignored Tomtm that said to go around the roundabout as it seemed to be going back the way we came. I could see the garage on my right so thought I would turn right then right again & would eventually get there WRONG all dead end streets. Had to go back to the round about then turn back the way we came in but immediately take the slip road then turn under the motorway & straight into the garage. Tomtom is occasionally right.
