Could be wrong, but I think it might be for the heated mirrors.

Could be wrong, but I think it might be for the heated mirrors. That is interesting,I do have electric mirrors but Don,t know if they are heated, they have the switches to control them on the door arm rest. I will investigate further, thank you both. "

When I had them on the Navara pretty sure they were on the same switch as the rear window demist, you'll only really notice if they are heating if the mirrors are fogged up

Deffo heated mirrors. Just switch it on and after a minute or so put the back of your hand against the mirror - should be slightly warm.

I have a switch in my 03 Fiat Ducato Rapido which doesn't seem to do anything either, I think it is for fog lights or similar which I don't seem to have.
If my headlights are on it lights up if I press it, I suppose the lamp it controlled has been removed over the years as I can't see any bulbs not lighting up in the clusters

Switch numbers 1,2,3,4,5, from left to right.

1, Heated Door Mirrors.

2, Blank.

3, Hazard Lights.

4, Rear Fog Lights.

5, Blank.

The Heated Door Mirrors are on a timer 20 minutes i think.

The Rear Fog Lights only come on with the Headlights and not on just Sidelights.

Both switches light up when in use.

Hope this helps.

That will be your rear fog warning light. It is a legal requirement to use it (& dipped headlamps) in visibility below 100mtrs.

You are also required to turn the damn thing off if visibility improves. Please tell me you knew that already, didn't you? :o

Sadly, far too many drivers don't. I get really angry with these idiots that have their fog-lights on as a fashion accessory. :mad1:

No, definitely not, i asked my wife to test it and she´s still there.

By the way, nice thread, had the same problem but never the idea to ask.
